When the dawn of the industrial revolution came into being in the nineteen century, one of the dominating aspects about it was the manufacturing industry. What this meant is that raw materials would be used in the mass production of consumable products that would be used by people. In order for the manufacturing of products to happen, the mass labor needed for manufacturing was an aid with the use of machines.
Through the course of time, certain market gaps within the market environment needed different forms of manufacturing to fill them. This meant that within the scope of manufacture, three forms of manufacturing emerge. The first category is identified as the Make To Stock, abbreviated as MTS. The aim of manufacturing with this category of manufacturing is that products get produced then they are latter stocked out. The driving force that is behind this form of the manufacturing process is that one is able to have a market prediction on the number of products it needs. The second category is the Make To Order (MTO). This manufacturing is undertaken when there is demand for something the orders are placed before manufacture starts. It resulted in first of all there being a given number of orders for a given product for the manufacturing of that product to take place. The third classification is the Make To Assemble more commonly abbreviated as MTA. In this manufacturing process, the production units are produced on the anticipation that there be a market for such units in the assemble industry.
The manufacturing process can be considered complex considering that it involves various process being brought together. This means that by ensuring that these factors are in harmony with each other can the manufacturing company be successful in its production. Raw materials are the start point of any form of manufacturing. What this clarifies, is that in order for market orders to be satisfied, then a manufacturing company needs to have enough raw materials to meet the orders. In order to satisfy the requirement of sufficient raw materials, then a manufacturer has to establish a constant supply chain. A means of making sure that raw materials get to their manufacturing centers can be done by made sure by eliminating hindering issues of weather and or long distances.
Another important component that makes up the manufacturing process is the equipment used. In order to be meet large demand, manufacturing companies have to ensure that they have machinery that will make the demand achievable. Efficiency is one thing that any manufacturing company needs and this can be achieved when the correct tools of trade are present. Apart from just meeting production demand, its equally important that a manufacturer is able to guarantee quality assurance across the board in terms of manufacturing.
